The invention relates to a device for detecting an inspiratory flow rate limitation in a patient fitted with an apparatus for treating (6) obstructive sleep apnoea in which a gas flows in a pipe (30) delivering the gas to the patient, comprising means for measuring (16) the gas flow rate in the pipe (30) so as to obtain a flow rate signal (Q) means for analysing (22) the flow rate signal (Q) so as to detect at least one patient inspiration phase and means for processing (22) the flow rate signal (Q) during the inspiration phase.Linvention concerne un dispositif de détection dune limitation de débit inspiratoire chez un patient muni dun appareil de traitement (6) de lapnée obstructive du sommeil débitant un gaz dans un conduit (30) délivrant le gaz au patient, comprenant des moyens de mesure (16) du débit de gaz dans le conduit (30) pour obtenir un signal de débit (Q) des moyens danalyse (22) du signal de débit (Q) pour détecter au moins une phase dinspiration du patient et des moyens de traitement (22) du signal de débit (Q) pendant la phase dinspiration.
