A method for expanding a stenotic opening paranasal sinuses in a subject, comprising: setting a stenotic opening device comprising: a) an expandable portion adapted to expand from the unexpanded configuration to the expanded configuration, wherein in the unexpanded configuration the expandable portion has a size to allow its installation within the stenotic opening and b) a drive mechanism configured to expand the expandable portion of the unexpanded configuration to the expanded configuration for 4 hours or more, wherein the expanded configuration expands the stenosed otverstie.2.
