A device (10) comprising a textile main body, and one or more indicator elements (30, 32, 34) on the textile main body, or on a label (20, 22) fixed to the textile main body, for indicating date information, the indicator elements (30, 32, 34) comprising a plurality of severable portions (36, 38) spaced from the main body or the label (20, 22) on which they are provided, each of the severable portions (36, 38) being associated with date information such that by cutting one or more of the severable portions (36, 38) a date of use of the device (10) or a date of inspection of the device (10) can be indicated. A device (10) having indicator elements (30, 32, 34) of this type has the advantage that the indication of a date of first use or a date of inspection can be made easily, can be read easily and will be durable over many laundry cycles.
