Modifications disclosed is a method of using a modification of the current MRI techniques for localized NMR spectroscopy, to obtain the spatial frequency spectrum from a particular site in 3D the sample. In its simplest abstraction, modification, is to record the echo that occurred as a result and, in addition to the NMR spectroscopy pulse sequence to the current use of the read gradient. These techniques cause the resulting image over the area of the sample, or to generate a spectrum from the selected region. By analyzing the structure of the trabecular bone, and these methods can be applied to diagnose or analyze disease when there is a difference in the spatial frequency power spectrum by the course of the disease or physiological.
