A trimmer head (20) configured for operating in a fixed line configuration and a bump-feed configuration. The trimmer head (20) includes a base (24) including a cup (32) having a top wall (44) and a substantially cylindrical side wall (46) defining an aperture (60,62). The base also includes a collar (36) extending axially from the top wall (44) of the cup (32) for coupling the trimmer head (20) with the output shaft (23). A fixed line head (86) is at least partially received within the cup (32) when the trimmer head (20) is in the fixed line configuration and a bump-feed spool (72) is at least partially received within the cup (32) of the base (24) when the trimmer head (20) is in the bump-feed configuration.
