A percutaneous transluminal angioplasty system comprises a non-reduced stent and a stent anchor that holds the stent in place until delivery. The stent comprises a ring and a fused ring containing various motifs such as a butterfly or pinched oval motif. The stent anchor can release the stent after the outer sheath has uncovered the stent or the biased or bent fingers of the stent and stent anchor.
