PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide greening pavement giving less damage by passage of vehicles and people to vegetation plants, and hardly making plants wither even by a small number of times of watering, and to provide a method for greening pavement.SOLUTION: The greening pavement is placed in order to green an area where vehicles and people pass or stop, and includes many load supporting parts upwardly projected and set to allow passage of vehicles and people, and many vegetation recessed parts set between the supporting parts to vegetate greening plants such as turf. The vegetation recessed part is filled with a water holding member containing water absorbing polymer allowing to repeatedly perform water absorption and drying, and fibrous substances.
