PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsified composition comprising astaxanthin and/or a derivative thereof, which is a physiologically active ingredient poorly soluble in water, the emulsified composition being excellent in stability over time, and to provide a soft capsule formulation.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided an emulsified composition that comprises at least one polyvalent alcohol selected from a group comprising astaxanthin and a derivative thereof, an oil component, water, glycerin and reduced starch syrup, and enzymatically degraded lecithin.
