FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biology and medicine and concerns a novel composition of polypeptides recovered from bovine cerebrum cortex extract, a pharmaceutical composition based on said polypeptides and use thereof. Polypeptide composition has nootropic, neuroprotective, antioxidant, tissue-specific action and is characterized by the following values: molecular weight of polypeptides is approximately 2000–2250 Da； number of bound amino acids is: arginine - 12 to 30 mcg/mg, glycine - 15 to 26 mcg/mg, asparagine - 36 to 74 mcg/mg, glutamine - 66 to 100 mcg/mg, alanine - 22 to 35 mcg/mg, proline - 26 to 31 mcg/mg, lysine - 26 to 46 mcg/mg, leucine - 25 to 32 mcg/mg, valine - 25 to 32 mcg/mg of the dry residue of the composition. Pharmaceutical composition for normalizing cerebral function comprises said polypeptide composition and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
