A web server receives ear images from the terminals. An information providing server recognizes a pattern of the ears from the ear images. The information providing server compares the recognized ear pattern with previous ear pattern information stored in a database. The information providing server determines whether disease symptoms correspond to an acute illness based on the comparison result. The information providing server transmits an emergency message to a user, a guardian, or a public institute. When the comparison result does not correspond to symptoms of an illness which is not an acute illness, the information providing server transmits the result and a self-care treatment method to the terminal.
