To provide a marking pen which can be safely and easily marked without damaging food materials.A marking pen (1) includes a tank (2) and a pen tip (3). The tank 2 is filled with the coating solution 10. The pen tip 3 is impregnated with the coating liquid 10 in the tank 2. The application liquid 10 applied to the food material via the pen tip 3 oxidizes the surface of the food material and causes discoloration.
