The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating tuberculosis, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises: a pharmaceutical effective amount of a compound represented by chemical formula 1 and (b) a pharmaceutically allowable carrier. According to the present invention, when the expression of a BiP protein is increased by treating the compound, the growth of a tubercular bacillus latent in a cell can be controlled.
