Disclosed is a system for generating and delivery electrosurgical energy, thesystem including a microwave genera-torand a power-stage device. The microwave generator further including amicrowave signal generator configured to generate amicrowave frequency signal at a first power level and a DC power supplyconfigured to generate a DC power signal. The power--stagedevice connects to the microwave signal generator by a transmission line andis configured to receive the microwave fre-quencysignal and the DC power signal from the transmission line. The power-stagedevice further including a power-stage mi-crowavesignal amplifier configured to amplify the microwave frequency signal from thefirst power level to at least one secondpower level and a microwave antenna configured to transmit the microwavefrequency signal.
