PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exothermic composition enabling an exothermic element of any desired shape with excellent exothermic characteristics to be produced in any thickness or size by means of printing such as screen printing or coating, decalcomania process, or molding such as mold intrusion or mold threading while preventing dust generation, also high in initial reaction rate and having sustainability, to provide such an exothermic element as mentioned above, and to provide a method for producing such an exothermic element as described above. SOLUTION: This exothermic composition is characterized by essentially comprising an exothermic material generating heat on reacting with oxygen, a carbonaceous component, an oxidation promoter and water and being 7-50 in labile water value.
