Disclosed is a new method, and a system, for the delivery of particles comprising at least one oral care agent to the oral cavity, so as to particularly enable delivery into the interproximal spaces. The method involves providing a liquid comprising the particles and introducing the liquid into the oral cavity in the form of a fluid jet, said jet having a velocity of from 0.5 m/s to 5m/s. The fluid jet can be generated by an appropriately adapted oral irrigator, but other devices can be used as well. The invention is particularly suitable for the delivery of adhesive gel particles comprising one or more oral care agents, preferably particles for the controlled and/or slow release of such agents.Linvention concerne une nouvelle méthode et un système permettant ladministration de particules comprenant au moins un agent de soins buccaux dans la cavité buccale, de manière, en particulier, à permettre une administration dans les espaces interproximaux. La méthode consiste à utiliser un liquide comprenant les particules et à introduire le liquide dans la cavité buccale sous la forme dun jet de fluide, ledit jet possédant une vitesse allant de 0,5 m/s à 5 m/s. Le jet de fluide peut être produit par un irrigateur buccal adapté de façon appropriée, mais dautres dispositifs peuvent également être utilisés. Linvention est particulièrement appropriée pour ladministration de particules de gel adhésives comprenant un ou plusieurs agents de soins buccaux, de préférence des particules permettant la libération contrôlée et/ou lente de ces agents.
