The present invention relates to a plant, which is resistant to a pathogen of viral, bacterial, fungal or oomycete origin, wherein the plant has a reduced level, reduced activity or complete absence of DMR6 protein as compared to a plant that is not resistant to the said pathogen, in particular organisms of the Fungi or the phylum Oomycota. The invention further relates to a method for obtaining a plant, which is resistant to a pathogen of viral, bacterial, fungal or oomycete origin, comprising reducing the endogenous level or activity of DMR6 protein in the plant. In addition, the invention relates to the use of a DMR6 promotor for providing disease resistant plants.La présente invention concerne une plante résistant à un pathogène dorigine virale, bactérienne, fungique, ou oomycète, laquelle plante présente un niveau réduit, une activité réduite ou une absence totale de protéine DMR6 par comparaison à une plante qui nest pas résistante audit pathogène, en particulier des organismes fongiques ou de lembranchement des Oomycota. Linvention concerne également un procédé dobtention dune plante résistante à un pathogène dorigine virale, bactérienne, fungique, ou oomycète, et consistant à réduire le niveau endogène ou lactivité de la protéine DMR6 dans la plante. Linvention concerne enfin lutilisation dun promoteur DMR6 pour lobtention de plantes résistantes à des maladies.
