The present invention refers to the use of mixtures, in different concentrations, of hydrosoluble extracts of Larrea tridentate resin with chitosan used as environmentally friendly organic fungicides, which may be used for preventing or curing post harvest diseases in fruits, flowers, vegetables, seeds, grains and any other agricultural product capable of being infected. Depending on the agricultural product to be treated and the phytopathogen fungi to be controlled, a better antifungal effect can be obtained with the use of mixtures including the hydrosoluble extracts of L. tridentata and chitosan compared to that obtained by using any of these bio products in an individual manner, and even better than the effect obtained by using commercial products that are harmful for the environment. The mixtures of the present invention may be used alone in a liquid or powder form, or as part of a formulation to which other natural or botanical products may be added, such as essential oils of Fluorensia cernua, Lippia berlandieri, Agave lechugilla leaves, these avoiding rots caused by Aspergillus flavus and A. versicolor fungi during storage.
