The medical device (10) comprising a lumen body (12) delimiting a lumen (15), the medical device terminating in a distal portion and further comprising a carrier (20, 30, 40) carrying an annular ultrasound transducer arrangement (50) mounted on a forward facing edge (13) of said lumen body (12) at said distal portion such that the annular ultrasound transducer arrangement (50) is positioned around the lumen (15). Also disclosed is a system (100) including such a medical device (10).
