PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and immediately return a width to the set width even when a set interval between right and left massage balls becomes inaccurate by external pressure in a chair-type massage machine.SOLUTION: The chair-type massage machine includes: a pair of right and left massage balls 41, 41 arranged on a backrest 13 and connected to a massage motor 51, so as to perform a massage motion in an approaching/separating manner and respectively draw round orbits a massage motor rotation detecting part 54 for detecting the amount of rotation of the massage motor 51 and a control part 70 for setting the interval of the right and left massage balls 41, 41 by controlling the rotation of the massage motor 51.
