An improved dental system is disclosed for implanting into a jawbone of a patent comprising a dental implant having a coronal end and a small apical end with an orifice extending from the corona! end toward the apical end. An orientation portion is disposed in the orifice for aligning an abutment relative to the dental implant. A threaded portion is disposed in the orifice for receiving a threaded portion of the abutment for securing the abutment to the dental implant.
