Apparatus for use in implanting intraocular lenses, the apparatusincluding an axial elongate hollow conduit having first and second ends anddefining anintraocular lens injection pathway extending along a longitudinal axis, theaxialelongate hollow conduit being formed at the first end with a syringe connectordefininga removable syringe mounting location and a pusher element located within theaxialelongate hollow conduit between the syringe connector and the second end, atleast oneof the axial elongate hollow conduit and the pusher element being formed withmutuallycommunicating conduits for enabling viscoelastic material to pass through thesyringeconnector and the pusher element to a location between the pusher element andthesecond end of the axial elongate hollow conduit.
