Disclosed are a preparation method and use of a linseed polysaccharide having an antiviral activity and an immunological activity, comprising: using a linseed as a raw material obtaining a crude linseed polysaccharide by grinding the linseed, separating a husk from the linseed, performing microwave-aided hot water extraction, using a Sevage treatment method to remove protein, performing ethanol precipitation, and lyophilization and employing ion-exchange column chromatography, sephadex column chromatography and ultrafiltration to obtain a linseed polysaccharide having a triple-helical structure. FHP-1 of the invention is homogeneous and has a molecular weight of 2626 kDa. The invention makes a breakthrough to separate a polysaccharide having a triple-helical structure from the linseed, and a cytobiological experiment proved that the polysaccharide can reduce expression of a hepatits B surface antigen and a hepatitis B e antigen expression, suppress replication of a hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA, activate an immune response, and facilitate secretion of a tumor necrosis factor (TNF-a), interleukins IL-6 and IL-12, and an inflammatory factor NO by an immune cell.
