The assembly comprises a structure (8A-C) configured to provide a support for a plants (7) and a secondary support (19A) positioned above and extending along the length of the structure. A plurality of paths extends between the structure (8A-C) and the secondary support (19A) along which the plant may grow away from the structure (8). The secondary support (19A) is configured to move through an arcuate path to lower the plurality of paths and facilitate transferring the plant growing along the plurality of paths onto the structure (8A-C). The secondary support (19A) is held on a pair of pivoting arms (10) having an engagement point below the pivot (see Fig. 6) to facilitate moving and/or holding the arms (10) in place.
