An angled disc opener assembly, or coulter, for drilling furrows for seeds comprises two arms 1 each supporting an angled bar 3 with attached axle 5, bearing and housing 4, and angled disc 2. The two angled discs create a V-shape, and cut opposite angled slanted openings in the ground to receive seeds 8 via pipe 19 and seed shoe. The arms are connected to a bracket 9 attached to a beam 21. A vertical bar (13) supports an axle (16) with a bearing clamp (17) holding a depth wheel (15) with an adjustable scraper (18). The mounting bracket has means for vertical adjustment , and the arm has means for horizontal movement. The angled bar 3 may be adjustable within a range of 5 to 80 degrees. In a second embodiment there may be a single arm holding two coulter discs rather than two separate arms each holding one disc.
