A reusable medical power 210 tool comprises a housing 212 having an aperture 214, a removable tool attachment interface 222 connected to the power tool 210 via the aperture 214 and a removable and replaceable cover 216 provided with a single opening aligned with the aperture 214. Several different aperture and removable tool attachment interface arrangements are taught. For example, in receiving an oscillating or rotating tool the attachment interface may comprise a shaft provided with a projection 230, (30, Fig 2) for interaction with a keyway (32, Fig 2) provided in the aperture, and an annular groove 228, (36, Fig 2) for receipt of a quick release mechanism such as a pin (34, Fig 3) or c-shaped clamp (226, Fig 7) accessible through an aperture 227, (38, Fig 3) in the housing. In receiving a reciprocating tool however, the aperture may be provided with a threaded member (128, Fig 5) to which a reciprocating tool receiving shaft (124, Fig 5) may be attached.
