Nintedanib for use in a method of treating non-small cell lung cancer in a patient who has received prior treatment with antitumor therapy other than nintedanib, a method which comprises treating said patient with a treatment regimen comprising administration of nintedanib or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in which the treated patient is selected for treatment on the basis that he has shown evolution of the cancer within a period of 9 months or less after the start of said previous treatment.Nintedanib para su uso en un método para el tratamiento de cáncer de pulmón no microcítico en un paciente que ha recibido un tratamiento anterior con una terapia antitumoral distinta de nintedanib, método que comprende tratar dicho paciente con un régimen de tratamiento que comprende la administración de nintedanib o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo, en el que el paciente que se trata se selecciona para el tratamiento basándose en que haya mostrado evolución del cáncer en un periodo de 9 meses o menos después del inicio de dicho tratamiento anterior.
