The invention relates to a device for acquiring electrical signals generated by the body, such as an electrocardiograph or an electroencephalograph, comprising: at least one sensor arranged so as to measure at least one electrical signal generated by the body of a patient acquisition means arranged so as to record at least part of said at least one electrical signal and holding means, such as an extendible belt, which are arranged so as to hold the acquisition means on the patient. According to the invention, the acquisition means can be detached from the holding means, and the invention is characterised in that when the acquisition means are attached to the holding means, they are arranged so as to close the holding means on the patient.
