A position detection device and a position control device for a work vehicle are provided to detect the tilt angle of the work vehicle properly based on a horizontal base surface even when there are effects of acceleration or pivoting. A position detection device for a work vehicle includes a gravity type tilt angle sensor(24), an acceleration detecting unit(200) and a tilt angle detecting unit(300). The acceleration detecting unit(200) detects acceleration when the vehicle moves in front and rear directions of the vehicle. The tilt angle computing unit(300) obtains a tilt angle of the vehicle based on a horizontal base surface. The tile angle computing unit(300) obtains the tilt angle based on the tilt angle correction information and the detected value of the tilt angle sensor(24) that are obtained based on the acceleration detected by the acceleration detecting unit(200).본 발명의 과제는 차체가 이동할 때에 가속도나 선회의 영향이 발생하는 경우라도, 수평 기준면에 대한 차체의 경사각을 적정하게 검출하는 것이 가능해지는 작업차의 자세 검출 장치를 제공하는 점에 있다.차체의 전후 방향의 경사각을 검출하는 중력식 경사각 센서(24)가 구비된 작업차의 자세 검출 장치이며, 차체가 전후 방향으로 이동할 때의 가속도를 검출하는 가속도 검출 수단(200)과, 그 가속도 검출 수단(200)에 의해 검출되는 상기 가속도를 기초로 하여 구한 경사각 보정 정보 및 상기 경사각 센서(24)의 검출치를 기초로 하여, 차체의 수평 기준면에 대한 경사각을 구하는 경사각 산출 수단(300)을 구비한다.
