An eye care method for preventing presbyopia and glaucoma is a low-voltage d.c. sent in the form of a pulse train. It stimulates the ciliary body through the current, resulting in the contraction of the ciliary body. When rhythmically contracted at a constant frequency, the contraction of the amygdala through passive relaxation increases muscle contraction, size and efficiency. As the force increases, the lens can move with greater efficiency and consequently its ability to control it. Similarly, contraction of the amygdala leads to stretching of the tendons in direct contact with the sclera-corneal stalk, increasing the distance between the scleral-corneal angles, restoring the natural function of the stalk, and thus preventing glaucoma. Using a conductive electrode placed in direct contact with the conjunctiva in the region of an appropriate distance from the corneal limbus stimulates the anatomical area corresponding to the ciliary body.
