The present invention relates to a vegetation retaining wall structure with an eco-pocket and a construction method thereof. The vegetation retaining wall structure comprises: concrete blocks stacked vertically and laterally on a cut slope to form a retaining wall, and including a storage space opened upwards； and an eco-pocket part stored in the storage space of the concrete blocks, and including a pocket space opened upwards, in which seeds are germinated. The eco pocket part includes: first and second vegetation mats comprising vegetable mats； and a peat layer placed between the first vegetation mats and comprising peat and seeds spread over the peat. Therefore, the first and second vegetation mats comprises plants such as moss, reeds and the like, and peat, which is formed as tree-derived organic matter is deposited between the vegetation mats, is prepared, so a growth environment for plants can be improved and an eco-friendly retaining wall can be formed. Moreover, if a concrete block is placed on another concrete block, a lower support plate and a front slope plate of the upper concrete block are supported by an upper placement surface and a support protrusion of the lower concrete block, and a plurality of concrete blocks are stacked on a cut slope to be inclined. Therefore, since a plurality of concrete blocks are stably stacked on a cut slope, structural stability and durability can be secured.본 발명은 에코포켓이 구비된 식생보강토옹벽 구조 및 그 시공방법에 관한 것으로, 절토 사면에 상하, 좌우로 적재되어서 옹벽을 이루며 상측으로 개방된 수납공간이 형성되는 콘크리트블록들； 콘크리트블록의 수납공간에 수납되고 씨앗이 발아되며 상측으로 개방된 포켓공간이 형성되어 있는 에코포켓부로 이루어지며； 에코포켓부는, 식물성 매트로 이루어진 제1식생매트 및 제2식생매트와, 상기 제1식생매트 및 제2식생매트 사이에 구비되고 토탄 및 토탄에 살포된 씨앗으로 이루어진 토탄층으로 구비된다. 따라서, 제1식생매트 및 제2식생매트가 이끼나 갈대 등의 식물로 이루어지고, 식생매트 사이에 수목질의 유기물이 퇴적되어 형성된 천연자원 토탄이 구비되므로 식물의 생육환경이 개선되고, 친환경적인 옹벽을 구현할 수 있다. 또한, 콘크리트블록 상에 다른 콘크리트블록을 안착시키면 상측의 콘크리트블록의 하부받침판 및 전방경사판이 하측의 콘크리트블록의 상부안착면 및 지지턱에 지지되며 다수의 콘크리트블록이 절토 사면을 따라 경사지게 적층된다. 따라서, 다수의 콘크리트블록들이 절토 사면에 안정적으로 적층되므로 구조적 안정성과 내구성을 확보할 수 있다.
