PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide non-typeable Haemophilus influenzae vaccines useful for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and asthma in patients.SOLUTION: Vaccines of the invention comprise a population of killed Haemophilus influenzae or a membrane fraction of a population of the killed Haemophilus influenzae, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, where the Haemophilus influenzae is characterized by a combination of any two or more of the following characteristics: (i) non typeable； (ii) biotype I； (iii) proliferates under aerobic conditions； (iv) lacking a B capsule gene； and (v) lacking a &bgr；-lactamase gene.【課題】患者における慢性閉塞性肺疾患および喘息を治療するのに有用な分類不能インフルエンザ菌ワクチンの提供。【解決手段】以下の特性を持つインフルエンザ菌であって、その死菌インフルエンザ菌又は死菌インフルエンザ菌集団の膜分画及び薬学的に許容されうるキャリアーを含む、ワクチン。（ｉ）分類不能である；（ｉｉ）生物型Ｉである；（ｉｉｉ）好気性条件下で増殖する；（ｉｖ）Ｂカプセル遺伝子を欠く；および（ｖ）β－ラクタマーゼ遺伝子を欠く、の任意の２以上の組み合わせによって性質決定される、【選択図】なし
