Use of an amino acid ferrous chelate-containing composition in the manufacture of a medicament for inhibiting cancer metastasis, wherein the medicament comprises a therapeutically effective amount of an amino acid ferrous chelate composition and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Disclosed are those comprising a therapeutically effective amount of the composition.
