PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hyperbaric wound treatment apparatus and method for treating a variety of wounds or lesions on a patient's body with high efficiency and in a short treatment time.SOLUTION: A hyperbaric device 100 includes a controller operable to selectively supply gas to, and to evacuate gas from, regions of a hyperbaric wound treatment chamber 114 in the device. The controller functions to inflate a passage of the device to provide the device with sufficient rigidity for the purpose of inserting a limb therethrough and to inflate an inflatable cuff 112 to create a seal against the limb. The controller can also function to evacuate ambient air trapped within the chamber and then to introduce oxygen into the chamber for the treatment of the limb.
