Present disclosure relates to a solvent- free method of encapsulating a hydrophobic active in personal care, hydrophobic active in crop protection or a hydrophobic active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in polymeric nanoparticles. The method includes mixing the hydrophobic active in a polymer melt, wherein the polymer melt comprises a melt of a block co-polymer, wherein the polymer melt acts as a solvent for the hydrophobic active. The method further includes maintaining the polymer melt in water for sufficient time to allow self-assembly of the block co-polymer to encapsulate the hydrophobic active therein.La présente invention concerne un procédé sans solvant d'encapsulation d'un agent actif hydrophobe pour soins personnels, d'un agent actif hydrophobe pour la protection des cultures ou d'un ingrédient pharmaceutique actif (IPA) hydrophobe dans des nanoparticules polymères. Le procédé comprend le mélange de l'agent actif hydrophobe dans un polymère fondu, le polymère fondu comprenant une masse fondue d'un copolymère séquencé, le polymère fondu servant de solvant pour l'agent actif hydrophobe. Le procédé comprend en outre le maintien du polymère fondu dans l'eau pendant une durée suffisante pour permettre un auto-assemblage du co-polymère séquencé afin d'encapsuler l'agent actif hydrophobe à l'intérieur.
