PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inserter for a guide wire, with which a guide wire with a distal end part bent can be inserted in a bent form to facilitate insertion operation of the guide wire into a catheter.SOLUTION: An inserter 10 for a guide wire for inserting a guide wire 1 with a distal end part 3 bent into a medical tube 7 has a cylindrical body part 20. An inner diameter of a proximal end part 21 of the body part 20 is formed large enough to enable the distal end part 3 of the guide wire 1 to be inserted in the bent form. The distal end part 23 of the body part 20 is divided into a plurality of pieces and can be opened and closed.
