PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a logging apparatus of standing trees or the like which solves a problem of conventional logging apparatus that had poor efficiency of logging work because they could not grip and cut off standing trees or the like continuously.SOLUTION: A continuous logging apparatus 1 for timber that is a logging apparatus capable of gripping and logging trees comprises: an enclosure 2 formed so as to constitute an apparatus body an attachment connected to arms of a work machine provided for a rear of the enclosure two pairs of scissors 3, 4 which, in the case where the enclosure is placed in a vertical direction, are provided in an extended manner in a radial direction of a tree at an upper position and a lower position of the enclosure, and provided with claws opened/closed by opening/closing means so as to grip the tree and a cutting device 6 which is provided for a lower part of the enclosure and cuts the tree gripped by the scissors.
