PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having a three-dimensional appearance.SOLUTION: A fishing rod relating to one embodiment of the invention comprises: a cylindrical fishing rod base body and a tubular outer layer that is wound around the fishing rod base body and includes a belt-like outer face extending spirally around a central axis of the fishing rod base body. In one embodiment, the belt-like outer face includes: a first outer face portion that extends annularly and a second outer face portion that extends annularly from an end of the first outer face portion so as to be adjacent to the first outer face portion in an axial direction of the fishing rod base body.
