PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bank protection sandbag and a bank protection method using the bank protection sandbag that allow a large sandbag to be formed readily, an earthen wall or an earth retaining structure to be built promptly, and greening after construction in a long term, at the same time stabilizing the piled sandbags.SOLUTION: A bank protection sandbag 1 includes a bag body 3 formed of a bag net 11 having a mesh that allows a bud to sprout through and strength necessary to hold sediment 22, and a sucking-out prevention sheet 18 that covers an inside surface of the bag body 3 and allows a plant bud or a root to grow through while preventing sucking-out of the sediment.
