A device (6) for moving plants intended to be assembled on an agricultural machine (1) and comprising, in particular: - a drum (60) that is hinged with a frame (8) about a first substantially horizontal axis (14) and that comprises a substantially cylindrical casing (13) that has openings (15) through which picking-up means (16) intended to move plants situated outside the casing (13) are capable of projecting, - a rotor (26) to which the picking-up means (16) are attached, and capable of being rotated relative to the frame (8) about a second axis (21) oriented substantially parallel to the first axis (14) and separate from same, the second axis (21) being stationary relative to the first axis (14) when the device (6) is operating, - and means (39) for transmitting rotational movement, characterised in that the means (39) for transmitting rotational movement comprise at least one rod (40) hinged to the drum (60) and to the rotor (26).
