FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medical psychology, in particular, to method of psychotherapy for extra weight reduction. Psychotherapeutic contract, which obliges patient to observe rational diet, is concluded. Course of psychotherapy, including, at least, four full-time group sessions with total duration from 4 to 7 days, is carried out, between which patient fulfils correspondence self-study, using printed methodological recommendations on psychology and nutrition of rational food behaviour, are carried out, as well as control meeting, after, at least 25 days from course beginning. In case of side effects and/or detection of diet violation correcting psychotherapy, which includes sessions of psychological drama according to Bert Hellinger, in which co-therapists play parts of patients family members, is administered. At each session rational psychotherapy is carried out. At the first session presentation of target strategies of rational food behaviour is carried out, at the following sessions target food behaviour is supported and/or behaviour deviating from target behaviour is corrected, at the last session, as aim, suggested is confidence in independent realisation of target strategies. In the course of correspondence self-study during the first interval between sessions, actualised are positive effects of weight reduction, then, actualised are positive effects of overeating and extra weight, and, finally, list of alternative sources of enjoyment, which are not connected with food consumption, is formed. At the first session problem of extra weight is disidentified with patient personality by method of psychosynthesis, first three sessions indirect psychotherapy, which includes physiotherapeutic impact and suggestion to patient that it contributes to weight reduction, is carried out.
