PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad type absorptive article including side flap parts, enough preventing surface stick or feeling of excessive wetting and feeling of moisture while having advantages of cotton fiber such as a good touch to the skin and difficulty of causing an itch and a rash.
SOLUTION: The problem is solved by the absorptive article in which the skin side surfaces of the side flap parts F1, F2 are formed of a side non-woven fabric layer 6 containing 40 wt.% or more cotton fiber. In the side non-woven fabric layer 6, a number of projecting and recessed parts are formed at least on the skin surface side, and among the projecting part 6b and the recessed parts 6c of the rugged part, at least a water repellent 6r is applied to the top of the projecting part 6b, and the water repellent is not applied to the bottom of the recessed part 6c.
