OBTENTION D'EXTRAITS NORMALISÉS DE LA PLANTE CONNUE SOUS LE NOM DE CUACHALALATE (Amphipteryngium adstringens) ET SES APPLICATIONS DANS LE DOMAINE DE LA PROTECTION SOLAIRE
In general, the present invention relates to the production of extracts of plants for use in the field of sun protection, specifically to production of standardized extracts of the Mexican plant known as "Cuachalalate" (Amphipterygium adstringens) and, more particularly, the production of standardized extracts of the bark and leaves of Amphipterygium adstringens, with a view to producing a photo-absorbent phytocomplex capable of absorbing radiation in a range from 190 to 300 nm, which comprises the ultraviolet region, particularly the UVB and UVC regions; furthermore, given the proven innocuous nature thereof, said substance may be used as an ingredient in formulations not only for preventing but also for treating induced skin lesions of different etiology, including those caused by overexposure to solar radiation, and also for protecting the hair and scalp against the harmful effects of the sun's ultraviolet radiation.
