The present invention relates to the use of a casein hydrolysate as an antiherpetic agent. This casein hydrolysate has an application in both the treatment and the prevention of the reactivation of a latent infection by a herpesvirus, and is effective both orally and topically. It also relates to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of cream, gel, ointment or paste for topical administration that contains it.La présente invention porte sur l'utilisation d'un hydrolysat de caséine comme agent antiherpétique. Cet hydrolysat de caséine a une application à la fois dans le traitement et dans la prévention de la réactivation d'une infection latente par un virus de l'herpès et il est efficace aussi bien par voie orale que par voie topique. L'invention porte également sur une composition pharmaceutique sous la forme d'une crème, d'un gel, d'un onguent ou d'une pâte pour administration topique qui le contient.
