PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus image capturing apparatus capable of accurately projecting illumination light on a pupil.SOLUTION: A fundus image capturing apparatus includes: a concave mirror system (concave mirrors 31, 35) reflecting illumination light emitted from a light source 1 to lead the reflected light to an examined eye E in an optical path common to a first illumination optical system 100a for irradiating the examined eye E with the illumination light from the light source 1 and a first imaging optical system 100b having a light receiving element 56 receiving the reflected light of the illumination light emitted to the fundus of the examined eye by the first illumination optical system 100a to obtain a fundus image an X galvanometer mirror disposed in a position conjugated with the pupil of the examined eye E with respect to a sagittal plane of the concave mirror system, and deflecting the illumination light from the light source 1 in a direction along the sagittal plane of the concave mirror system and a Y galvanometer mirror disposed in a position conjugated with the pupil of the examined eye E with respect to a meridional plane of the concave mirror system, and furthermore deflecting the illumination light through the X galvanometer mirror in a direction along the meridian plane of the concave mirror system, and further deflecting the illumination light through the X galvanometer mirror in a direction along the meridional plane of the concave mirror system to lead the deflected light to the concave mirror system.
