PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antithrombogenic porous substrate having high protein C activation potential.
SOLUTION: The porous substrate is used as a carrier, 1 g dry weight of the carrier has 1 &mug or more of a physiologically active substance which activates protein C, and the physiologically active substance which activates protein C is introduced into an internal porous section of the carrier as well as on a surface where the carrier and blood are brought into direct contact with each other. Consequently, the antithrombogenic porous substrate having high protein C activation potential is obtained.
