The present invention relates generally to counters, in particular to counters for use with dispensers, and to dispensers comprising such counters. More specifically, the present invention relates to a counter for use with a metered dispenser such as a metered dose inhaler (MDI). In particular, the present invention provides a counter, which is a first ring member having a first mark and rotatable about an axis in increments, wherein the first mark displays a count. 1 ring member and a regulating member provided with a regulating mechanism, the regulating mechanism comprising an engaging portion configured to act on the first ring member in the radial direction, and contacting the first ring member.
