The laser delivery system is configured to deliver light energy to soften and reorient tissue of the eye to increase regulation and treat glaucoma. The laser system can be configured to increase posterior vitreous mass movement to increase the space around the lens of the eye and to increase accommodation. The light energy may include wavelengths strongly absorbed by the collagen of the sclera. In many embodiments, a heat sink is provided for coupling to the conjunctiva, and the heat sink comprises a material that is transmissive to light energy absorbed by the collagen, such as, for example, zinc selenide. The heat sink can be cooled to suppress damage to the conjunctiva of the eye.
