Cosmetic composition (A) comprises crosslinked copolymer of methacrylic acid and 1-4C alkyl acrylate and an oil which is a synthetic oil, an ester of 3-14C acids comprising at least 20 carbon atoms or a vegetable oil with a content of palmitoleitic acid of 0.2 wt.% or more. An Independent claim is also included for treating keratinic matter, such as the hair, by applying (A) and optionally rinsing with water.
