PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel that includes a sound production device capable of producing constant click sound.SOLUTION: A fishing reel concerning the present invention includes: a driving gear 11 frictionally engaging to a handle shaft 6 in a turning manner a drag washer 23 stopped in rotation and fitted to the handle 6, and being slidable in the direction of the handle shaft 6 and a sound production device 30 for producing sound by relative rotation with the driving gear 11 and the drag washer 23. There are included an annular sound producing body stopped in rotation and engaged to the drag washer 23, a hitting member 35 for turning with the driving gear 11 and hitting one face side of the sound producing body, and a retention member 32 disposed in the other face side of the sound producing body. The drag washer 23 can move in the direction of the handle shaft 6 with respect to the sound producing body.
