PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic trapping device that removes wariness of a harmful animal, and thereby reliably enables trapping only a large individual to be a target of the harmful animal, and therefore is conveniently usable for a user.SOLUTION: An automatic trapping device is provided with a trapping mode of a harmful animal (A) in which a micro-controller (7) performs operation control to release an open/close door trigger (2) of a box trap (T), based on a detection output signal of a reflecting photosensor (5) for detecting a large individual being a trapping target of the harmful animal (A). In addition to that, the automatic trapping device is provided with a feeding mode of the harmful animal (A) in which the micro-controller (7) does not perform operation control to release the open/close door trigger (2) even if the detection output signal of the photosensor (5) is received.
